The Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF) program was established by the New Jersey State Legislature in 1968. The program was created to provide an opportunity for educationally and economically disadvantaged New Jersey residents to enroll in and graduate from college.
The program provides comprehensive services designed to foster persistence to graduation, academic achievement and personal and leadership development. The program provides both financial and educational support for students. Supplemental financial aid grants are provided to eligible EOF students. In addition, the program offers a variety of support services such as the summer bridge program, tutoring, counseling and personal, academic, and leadership development opportunities. The goal of the program is to support and encourage student growth throughout their course of study.
