A transcript is a copy of the student’s permanent academic record. An official transcript carries the college seal and is sent at the student’s request to other institutions and agencies. Unofficial transcripts can be mailed directly to students. They are stamped “Unofficial – Student Copy.” An official transcript issued directly to a student will be stamped “Official/Transcript.” An official transcript has a notation on the envelope that it is not official if the envelope is opened. The student must write on the request form where the transcript will be forwarded. Students should allow 5 to 7 days (from the date the request is received by the College) for processing of a request and plan accordingly.
There are no transcript fees. However, a separate form must be completed and submitted for each request. Transcripts will not be released if there are any outstanding obligations to Warren County Community College. Once the obligation has been settled, a new request must be submitted.
The student’s signature of release must appear on all Transcript Requests. Transcripts are not to be sent out automatically by WCCC. Students must request them via mail, e-mail or fax. For questions or additional information, please contact Student Services at (908) 835-2300.
