What are CEU’s?
Continuing Education Units (CEU’s) are nationally recognized units earned for participating in qualified continuing education programs. Generally, one CEU is awarded for every 10 hours of participation. A minimum of 80% of class attendance is required.
Do CEUs transfer into college credits?
CEU’s do not translate into college credits.
Does attendance count toward my final grade?
The student must maintain 80%-90% attendance (depending on the career professional development program or course) in order to receive a certificate or CEU’s if applicable.
When should I register?
We recommend registering for a course or program no later than one week prior to the start date unless otherwise stated. This gives the student ample time to prepare and, if applicable, purchase their textbooks. We offer four convenient ways to register: walk-in, fax, mail, or phone (908-689-7613).
What is the Continuing Education Refund Policy?
We will be happy to offer you a refund or apply the payment to another class of your choice if you withdraw three business days prior to the start of class. All refunds, unless Continuing Education cancels the class, will incur a $15 processing fee. Checks unable to be processed will incur a $25 fee.
We reserve the right to cancel classes due to inclement weather, when enrollment requirements are not achieved, or when other College functions take priority. Students will be notified by phone or by e-mail. Tuition and fees are refunded in full when the course is canceled by Warren County Community College, and no fees will be incurred by the student.
Are there discounts for Senior Citizens?
Senior Citizens (age 60 and older) must pay for all general fees, lab fees, materials, and books; however, the tuition fee will be waived. Seniors can register on a space-available basis for non-credit courses, provided that tuition-paying students constitute the minimum number required for the course. The Senior policy does not apply to certificate programs, online courses, and courses specifically designed for older adults. Please call (908) 689-7613 the day before the course is scheduled to begin in order to check availability and to register.
