Career Programs and Services

WCCC offers a number of programs to assist students in entering or re-entering the workforce.  These programs, sometimes referred to as “Workforce Development Programs,” assist communities by creating a more highly skilled workforce so that America can remain competitive in the global marketplace.  The skills of the workforce provide the basis for regional and national economic development.

WCCC’s career program offerings fall into two main categories: programs leading to careers in the health care industry and programs that focus on generalized or specific business skills.  Please see the Continuing Education Catalog for information regarding offerings for the upcoming semester.

WCCC also offers an English as a Second Language program to help non-native speakers improve their English skills while preparing them for career training or the workforce.

There are federal and state funds available for full-time workforce programs, including Medical Assisting, Certified Nursing Assistant, Pharmacy Technician, Computerized Accounting, MOS Certification, Veterinary Assistant, Grooming Assistant, and Massage Therapy.  Scholarship funds may be available for those who qualify.
