Application Guidelines

1. Apply for a federal PIN (Personal Identification Number). The PIN will serve as your electronic signature and will allow you access to various U.S. Department of Education web sites. If you wish to apply for the first time or have forgotten your PIN, go to www.pin.ed.gov. Parents of dependent students should also apply for their own federal PIN. You will receive your PIN in the mail within 7 to 10 days.
2. Once you have received your federal PIN, complete and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the renewal FAFSA (for continuing students) at www.fafsa.ed.gov . Make certain that you designate Warren County Community College as a recipient of its analysis by using College Code 016857. Continuing students should keep in mind that the deadline for FAFSA completion for NJ state aid, including NJ STARS, is June 1.
3. After WCCC receives your application information, we will issue you a separate PIN for our EAGLE (Easy Access Grant Loan Entry) System. You will complete application data on EAGLE and learn your financial aid status. You can access EAGLE from this Web site. EAGLE will also indicate if you are selected for verification.
4. Student applications are selected for verification on a random basis. This selection does not imply there is something wrong with your application. If your application is selected for verification, you will be asked to submit copies of your and your parent's (if dependent) signed federal income tax returns. WCCC cannot provide financial aid to students who do not provide the requested documentation.

To ensure that your financial aid is finalized before tuition and fees are due, new, readmitted, and continuing students should submit financial aid applications as early as possible. Students whose financial aid files are incomplete (data or verification information is missing) will be required to set up a payment plan with the Finance Office.
