Dr. Antonelli, whose doctoral dissertation is entitled Organizational and SES Predictors of School Effectiveness and Student Achievement, has taught at a number of institutions, including Monmouth University, Essex County College, and Raritan Valley Community College. Prior to moving into higher education, Dr. Antonelli taught for 10 years in both parochial and public schools in New York and New Jersey from grade levels four through eight. She holds a standard (K-8) certificate and a supervisor’s certificate in New Jersey, as well as teaching certificates in New York and Pennsylvania. Dr. Antonelli has also provided various workshops, including creativity and developmentally appropriate practice, lectures and the college classroom, mindfulness, cooperative learning, student contracts, and challenging behaviors with positive discipline to both teachers and parents. Dr. Antonelli provides her students with the foundational knowledge needed to continue their studies in teacher education programs.
