Book Advance Policy

Many colleges provide a line of credit with their local bookstores to purchase textbooks.  However, WCCC uses Cengage Unlimited for most campus books.  There is a yearly subscription charge of $140.  WCCC will assess this charge on all student accounts once a year unless the student is enrolled solely in Nursing, UAS (Drones), or is a dual enrollment student.

When financial aid is disbursed, Pell or other funds can be used to cover this charge.  Therefore, financial aid recipients whose aid covers these costs do not need to make any financial outlay for their textbooks.

Students requiring advancement of Financial aid funds for the purchase of specific educational materials prior to the disbursement of Financial Aid should contact the Financial Aid office at [email protected].  They can receive funding for educational supplies by completing a Financial Aid Advance request.
